One of the weirdest things I've ever seen...
I've seen a lot of strange things in my day, but this takes the cake.
Directly across from my bedroom in the hallway is a painting of my grandpa that I did about 10 years ago (I actually painted it the night I found out he had died). He was my hero, I miss him every single day, so I deliberately put the painting somewhere I would see it all the time. A few days ago, as I walked out to go to the bathroom, a glint in the painting caught my eye. I walked over and looked at it, and there was a TEAR in his eye. It isn't paint, because I used acrylic paint which is notoriously dull and it's on handmade paper, which is also very dull. And anyway, this thing has been under glass for 10 years and there has never been a shiny spot on it. This literally looks like a teardrop, it is glossy and very obvious in person (I'm not sure the photo does it justice, since the "teardrop" is also clear). It has now been there for three days. I am stunned, and confused, and I have NO idea what to make of it... ![]()

Has something sad happened in your family recently? Is the anniversary of his death approaching? I'd definitely take that as a sign of some sort.

I should say that this grandfather has connected with me once before. A week after my son was born, which was December in IL mind you, we found a bright red rose blooming outside of our back door. My grandpa was a horticulturist and he had award-winning roses, they were his favorite. But since my son was just born, that made a little more sense (in a weird, paranormal kind of way). But if it IS him, I'm not understanding the reason? And if its NOT him...I can't figure out how it got there nor why it took the shape and location of a teardrop. The whole thing has me weirded out.

Wow... Kind of cool, kind of creepy... It does look as the mark originates above the corner of his eye, unless that spot was always like that. You know, kind of like a drip of something going down from above his eye. You haven't taken the painting out to examine the actual paper?
So strange.
