Re: Any unbiased opinions?

Take it for what it's worth - our kids often slept in the car due to our family taking part in any number of fun activities that last past bedtime.

I'd let him go that night and not think twice about it.

I'm generally pretty strict about sleep, but for something special like this, and just one night, I'd let him go for sure. Maybe have some "quiet time" the next day for reading books or similar in bed for a while to help balance it out?

I would let him go. It is one night and think of the great memory your son will have from it. Driving home late at night and falling asleep in the car is fun for kids...it will be an adventure.

Re: Any unbiased opinions?

He gets to have both parents there for a special event? I say let him be. Just having both of you there would be something special. I wouldn't risk upsetting anyone by bringing up bedtime while there. In the grand scheme of things soo not worth causing trouble. Let him have this fun time.
