My Mood:
I really feel ready to wean for nighttime.

It's just getting ridiculous. Last night, for instance, it took her forever to go to sleep. Finally I just STOPPED nursing her and she threw a fit. After she was done with her fit, she was all over the bed (we co-sleep).

If I try telling her "no nursing", she cries and cries (hate it!). But, I feel really ready to just say NO to nights. It's wearing me OUT!

I felt I had to move DD2 into the second bedroom to night wean, so that was the first step for us. Then, when I would put her to bed, I would nurse her fit a while, then stop and rock her for a few minutes. After doing that for about a month, I cut out the nursing and went straight to rocking. She didn't like it much, but she understood pretty quickly what was happening.

From the time we moved her to the other bedroom to when I weaned her was about 4 months. I tried to get her to sleep through the night first, but that failed. Weaning was easier. Now I end up sleeping on the floor in the second bedroom almost every night after she wakes up around 2am because I'm just so tired, I never end up going back to my own bed.
