Re: Late AF with tubes tied?

Glad to see someone else mentioned it but tubal ligation syndrome causes all kinds of problems and is very common.

http://www.tubal.org/symptoms_of_pts.htm

Tubals and vasectomys break things that were meant to work in a certain way and it's amazing how connected the whole body is. Breaking one organ can reak havoc in many systems.

Thanks for more info. I had read about PTLS but didn't think it would really bother me. And really, while AF has been different, it hasn't been a lot aside from longer cycles. I have noticed increased anxiety & hypoglycemia... AF is still MIA.

Wow! Thanks for posting about this. I had no idea such a syndrome existed. I'm super sensitive hormonally so I'm going to do a ton of research and tell DH he's getting a vasectomy. My poor reproductive system has been through enough.

Re: Late AF with tubes tied?

I had never heard of this syndrome. Assuming we ever get our fourth my mother has been encouraging a tubal ligation during the delivery(planned section). It is now completely off the table. My hormones are messed up enough as is. Though honestly I didn't really want it done to begin with but now I have info to provide nosy family.

Have you taken an hpt?
I'd get one and test, see what it says, then go from there. If it's +, get an appt to get things checked out. If it's -, wait another bit for AF.

consider the cooper IUD. No hormones and it's good for 10 years (vs. Mirena has hormones and last for 5)
