What do you put in the sippy cup??

I used the gerber sippys with the soft spout, but only put water or water/juice mix in it. When I started dd#1 on whole milk w/~1tsp ovaltine at about 14 mo, I used the take & toss cups. We still have it separated like this because I DON'T LIKE TO CLEAN!!!! I never use milk in something that has a valve or lots of places for milk to hide and get stinky.

I put 90%water ... and 10% juice.. just enough to turn the water a color..

I would put ice water. My ds loves ice in his cup.

Mainly water. I do give diluted juice 1pt juice 3 parts water. a few times a week.
she will not drink breastmilk or reg. milk in a sippy.
she is 21 mths.

Caden stopped nursing at 10 1/2 months and went straight to a sippy cup. He is 20 months now and he's only tried juice once. He drinks milk and water out of his cup. I figure that if he doesn't know what juice is he won't ask...lol, so I'm just waiting for him to figure it out

DD is 20 months and drinks only water or almond milk from her sippy, she did take BM froma sippy when she was still in DCP though, but none since 18 months

she has only had a few tastes of watered down fresh OJ, but had to use a cup for that

Our kids (3 1/2 and 20 months) drink milk and half water/half juice, or just plain water from their cups. They have been totally on sippy cups since they were 8 months old. We threw the bottles away and went cold turkey. They didn't really seem to mind...they didn't care where the food came from as long as they got it. LOL!! If I would have been still BF'ing that might have been a different story all together.

We use the straw sippy and she only gets water. I plan on holding off on juice until she asks for it. I tried putting breastmilk in it once and she looked at me like I was nuts and what the heck did I do with her water. So it's been water ever since.

DD gets water during the day and organic chamomile tea w/ dinner (to help her sleep better).
I tried almond milk, but she wasn't fooled--this was not mama's milk, so she wanted nothing to do w/ it.

I might do breastmilk at that age. We didn't start the cup until 10-12 months with ours and I just offer water. All of mine started off liking water. I wish I'd never introduced juice to my second dd. She will still drink it, but lost her taste for water all together after learning about juice.
