Re: What have they said to you lately?

We were watching Shrek yesterday and at the end they have the keroke. Well my 4yo DS got to his favorite part where is says "I like big butts and I cannot lie". He giggled and and sings "I like big butts in a cadillac!" at the top of his lungs

Re: What have they said to you lately?

DD is 21 mos and we have been having crazy bedtime issues the last couple months. We finally hit on (after she is in crib but doesn't want us to leave)
"honey, I have to go potty/clean the kitchen/let the dogs out, is that okay?"
"Yes mommy."
"I'll come back and check on you."
"okay"

But last night I was tired too so I laid down on the floor next to her crib, intending to close my eyes til she was asleep. After one round of ABC's and twinkle, twinkle the little bugger kicked me out of her room!
"Mommy?"
"Yes, baby?"
"Mommy pee-pee?"
"Umm, yeah, now that you mention it, I DO have to pee-pee. Is it okay if I go?"
"NO MOMMY! Go pee-pee in potty! Go potty! Go!"
"Okay, okay... going now..."

Re: What have they said to you lately?

Love them all!

Last night in the car, I was alone with DS 4.

DS: Mum? You know, Mr. B (Music teacher) and Mrs. P are the only teachers who have houses.
Me: Really?
DS: Yes. None of the other teachers have homes.
Me: Well, where do the other teachers sleep, O?
DS: At the school! (said in the most dismissive, "You are so dumb, Mom" voice)

One of my little DCB's has had a hard time with poppies this week. I have only put it together yesterday why he has been calling all the poppies we have seen and been talking about "dogs." He thought I was saying, "puppies." Everytime he saw a poppy, he was saying, "Look, a dog! A doggie..."

DS just turned 2 and is cracking us up lately. Yesterday he wanted me to come sit on his blanket with him so I sat down and he says, "Mommy, don't poop on my blanket."
Lol, apparently in his mind that's something I'd do.

AWESOME!

My sister used to call rice crispies "wa-kiffies". And my cousin's little boy (who is now over 30 yrs old) once called one of our guinea pigs a "penny gig".

I was asked today- "Were you married young?" I replied no and then was asked why not? Then she wanted to know when my last anniversary was.

My ODD (4 years) was talking on a play phone and said "nothing...just chill in'....feeling the vibes." I think we may watch the Lorax entirely too often LMBO.

Re: What have they said to you lately?

Said by the 4 year old recently:

Why do grown ups have to eat when they're all done growing?

When is the end of the world?

What animal had to die to give us bread?
