This actually is what I do but I also use the little drawers and ziplock bags in the drawers... Each drawer has a different base/matching set

This is what my totes look like (well 3 more big totes have been added since this picture was taken )



I'm thinking about switching my sewing table wall with the window wall. That way my window wall has my sewing machines and the blank wall can take a big storage shelving unit to hold yarn goodness. Since I obviously don't use the tables under the window for anything but a catchall

I don't think he'd actually care, as long as "my room" stays clean...and I think this would help keep it that way. He doesn't mind my over abundant amount of fabric

the number one thing on my list for a new house was a sewing room

and dh didn't complain

at our old house I had the kitchen table and the icky semi finished basement
