Turkeys in the fridge
I bought a frozen Turkey 2 days ago and put it in the fridge.Is it safe in there to thaw out untill Thanksgiving?With the fridge being opened and closed a lot through out the day will the bird get too warm?Ive never bought a turkey this yearly and I dont want to poison my family

Yes it should be fine. It will take days for it to thaw out
Butterball recommends at least 1 day of thawing for every 4 lbs of turkey.Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum

It should be fine. We have a 20lb bird in the garage fridge and I am a tad worried that it will not thaw in time to brine. This has been an issue before. I usually plan a full 7 days to thaw and brine.
