I would let her go. I know it is hard to not have her there. My ODS has only been away from us when I was in the hospital having YDS and that was hard enough with him still in the same city. But she is old enough that she will remember the special time she got with her aunt and grandmother.

Absolutely, let her go.

You can make it a special weekend for your other LO too if you want or just explain that sometimes one person has a special weekend and other times it will be someone else's turn.

As for you missing her, it's only 4 days. You'll be fine. She'll feel very "grown up" and capable. That is a good feeling for a 6yo to have. She'll get to experience some independence and you'll know she's 100% safe and well-cared for. Best of both worlds.

Let her go.
My 5 year old when on his first trip away in September to Florida with his Pop-Pop. They had such a great time the first trip that they just got back yesterday from the second trip. I know its hard to let them go but in the end they kids do grow up a tiny bit from being away.

I would let her go, so long as she would be good with being away from you.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Lucky girl to have such loving relatives and to experience such a trip.

Yes! I don't see any downsides. The younger will have her chance eventually.

I think it's a great idea, just make sure your sister won't have problems taking her on a plane without her parents. I don't know if you need consent form or something to prove she's not being kidnapped.

I will send her with a copy of her birth certificate...I guess I should maybe call the airline to see if that's enough.
