Zantac for morning sickness?

Has anyone tried taking Zantac for morning sickness? I tried it out of desperation this morning and it seems to be helping A LOT!

Nevermind, still sick... It helped a little, though.

Re: Zantac for morning sickness?

I haven't tried it but I am taking B6, which is supposed to help. I feel nauseous and nothing tastes good or appeals to me but I'm not throwing up. I can't say whether the B6 is helping though because I never threw up with my son either. Maybe you could try taking some B6 ( I read B12 is supposed to help too), but definitely ask your dr first.

Re: Zantac for morning sickness?

Makes sense that it would help. I'm a home infusion RN and our mom's with severe morning sickness end up on IV nutrition (TPN). The MD usually adds pepcid to the mix. Helps treat stomach acid which can cause some of the nausea. From what I have researched, preggo women have more stomach acid than non-pg women.
