5k

My husband and i want to start training for a 5k. But we have a 4 yr. Girl, a 3 yr boy and a two month old. The 4 yr girl can ride her bike and keep up with us and we don't have a double jogging stroller. (Could possibly buy one). Are there any tips or other ideas about starting our training? Thanks.

Can you alternate when you run? This is what DH and I do when lifting. One will watch DS while the other works out, then we swap. Your DH could run before work, and you could run while he gets the kids ready for bed?

As far as a jogger, I HIGHLY recommend the Bob Ironman. We have one and I LOVE that thing. It is one of the most narrow double joggers on the market. It handles VERY well and it is surprisingly light and durable.

Training for a 5k is pretty short. I'd either switch off or buy a double jogger. Our CL is always packed with them.

I am hugely pregmant and still running (somewhat) I still
Push my 5.5. & 4 yr old sometimes.
