"Daddy's Car is Coming"
Daddy's car is coming
Daddy's car is coming Daddy's car is coming Daddy's car is coming Daddy's car is coming Daddy's car is coming Daddy's car is coming That has been my last half hour. My 4 year old has been repeating that every 5 minutes since the sun went down as she anxiously awaits my DH's return from work. It's driving me crazy.

You too? Here it's:
Papa's home! Papa home yet, Mama? When Papa gonna get home, Mama? Why Papa not home yet, Mama? Repeat, repeat, repeat...

Re: "Daddy's Car is Coming"
Oh man, do I understand.
My son has emotional breakdowns when DH is even a minute late to take him somewhere. He does a sign language class every Thursday and he knows he has to leave at 7...DH tries to get his work done really early and get here on time, but sometimes it doesn't happen. seriously...from 7:00-7:01 feels like a half an hour. whining like he's a nutcase. saying "where is daddy every 5 seconds. He gets unbelievably irritable, if DH isn't here by 7:05, I usually have to put him upstairs for a time out/calm time. It's a verifiable panic attack by that point. I just don't understand it. I'm late for everything...where did he get this obsession for being on time????

Re: "Daddy's Car is Coming"
My DS does this every Saturday when he waits for DH to get home from work. He does one better though. He opens the front door and screams "DADDY" outside, and when I say daddy is at work and can't hear him but will be home soon... he screams louder. He does this for an hour.

DS1 does it to. For sometimes an hour or so.

Re: "Daddy's Car is Coming"
Well, at least mine isn't the only one lol.
Oddly, she never does this to DH when I am at the grocery store or something.
