Very gassy w/ Good Start Gentle?
The LO we're fostering is on GS Gentle. Pretty much from the beginning, she has struggled with being really gassy, though not spitting up unless she eats too much/too fast. I'm wondering if I need to consider changing formula? We've also been dealing with some constipation and I can't help but think it's all tied to the formula. Her Dr. isn't convinced as of yet and has recommended we try a couple of different bottles (she's currently using Dr.Browns)
Any thoughts please? |

Maybe try the gentle or sensative brands ...we have honestly had the best luck with the generic versions over the name brand! Good luck!.....or have u tried the gas relief drops at all?

Re: Very gassy w/ Good Start Gentle?
We're using gas relief drops and having some success with those. I just hate seeing her so miserable after she eats.

Poor thing! I don't think it would hurt to try another formula then. I would try one of the low lactose ones and see if it helps!

Re: Very gassy w/ Good Start Gentle?
I agree that gas drops can be a life saver. Maybe a low lactose or soy formula would work better. Sometimes it's trial and error with formula. I found that my DD was more sensitive in the first few months, but now that she's 7 months, she is on generic (Costco) Similac-type formula and doing great (though we still put gas-drops in to stave off the bubbles)
We also found that DD had more tummy troubles when we used "nursery water"

I'd put baby on some infant probiotics.

Re: Very gassy w/ Good Start Gentle?
We switched to Enfamil Gentlease for the same problem (plus constipation) and noticed a difference almost immediately! The first thing I noticed about it was when I shake up the bottles, the bubbles disappear right away no matter how hard you shake it up. It just made sense to me that it would cause less gas with less bubbles in the bottle!
