What potty are you using?

Hey ladies! I have the Fisher-Price Fun To Learn Potty and although it works fine, but it's a bit of a pain to clean. I was thinking of heading to ikea to pick up a seat but is it junk? Tell me what you are using and why you like it! For the last couple days now our method has been to just head out into the yard and pee in the rocks My little man will be 2 in January.

I like the Frog potty at Target. It is nice for boys because the front is really high and it keeps the pee going where it is supposed to, instead of on the floor. It is also cheap, which is a nice benefit too. We have 2 of them.

We have a couple of the Ikea pottys. They work just fine for us. Its just a pot to pee and poop in.
I dump and rinse with water then wipe the side up.

Re: What potty are you using?

For my boys I had this really cheap one piece plastic thing that had a huge pee blocker in the front. I can't remember the name but it resembled this one.

I had a fisher price potty before that but the simpler the better. My kids ended up playing with the parts on the others. I liked the huge pee blocker since one of my boys had terrible aim. One piece also made it a cinch to clean.

Re: What potty are you using?

We never used a "potty". We just put a child's seat on top of the toilet. We got a cheap $10 target one and a baby bjorn one. The baby bjorn one was much nicer and more comfy for the kids.

We also got a stepstool to help the LOs get up to the toilet. They could get on and off before they were 2 and my kids are below the 5th percentile for height with super-short legs (long torsos).

That said, MyGym has the Froggy potty and DS LOVED using it there. We almost bought one, but then we remembered that we'd have to dump and clean it. Much easier to just flush every time and wipe the underside of the seat with a flushable wipe 1x/wk, so we didn't buy it.

DD has this seat for the toilet. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20

We use potty for out and about. We put this in the back of the car and use it on long car rides to grandma's house. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20
