Washing Kitchen Towels with Diapers??
CAN you do this, does anyone do this? i am trying to simplify laundry immensely. Possibly switching to all white bar towels for the kitchen & cleaning and then washing with the diapers. what about bibs?
just wondering... TIA!!

I personally wouldn't unless you bleach the load. I wash kitchen and bath towels together.

I dry my plates with towels. I don't want to eat any trace of poo.
That's where my mind goes. I say wash your kitchen towels with your clothes, or bath towels. Diapers, to me, are a load on their own. |

Re: Washing Kitchen Towels with Diapers??
Yes, diapers get washed on their own. The only time I have washed diapers and towels together is when I trying to prep brand new flats or prefolds.

I'll wash 1 full towel with diapers so that the agitation process goes better but that's it.

I do it. Been doing it for years. You wash them, they get clean. I don't have issues with my laundry routine or stink like a lot of mamas here do. Sounds like you (poster above me) need to work on your wash routine if that would be an issue for you, regardless of whether you wash diapers alone or not.

I do! I always throw them in after the pre-wash rinse. Since I'm much more careful about getting my diapers really clean, I know the towels are clean. My kitchen towels get stinky sometimes, and the soaking + extra rinses + bac-out really helps.

Re: Washing Kitchen Towels with Diapers??
I don't but only because this would actually be more water usage for me. I do a full load of diapers, tissues, and family cloth every 3 days. This is 2 wash cycles each time with an overnight soak in oxyclean and detergent. I do my kitchen cloth with socks and underwear twice a week. I do only 1 full wash/rinse cycle but soak overnight in oxyclean and detergent. If I were to do them all together I would have another 2 full wash cycles to acomodate the diapering prerinse.

Re: Washing Kitchen Towels with Diapers??
My kiddo still uses between 8-12 diapers a day. Each load already has between 25-30 diapers plus wipes, fc, and tissues.
