How long do I have to wait to open dispute w PP?

I bought some fluff online -- not FSOT here, but from one of those small companies -- on Nov 10.

Anyway, everyone else has shipped, and I've even started receiving things that I ordered at the same time. I have not heard from them. I got an email confirming the order originally, but no shipping info. I checked PP, and it shows payment completed on 11/10, but nothing more.

I emailed them to see if the order had shipped- no response. Yesterday, I called them. I got voicemail, so left a message asking on the status of the order. No response.

Now, granted, 11/10 was a Sat, and we had a long weekend, so if they weren't open on Sat, today (the 16th) might be only the 4th working day since I placed the order.

How long should I wait to see if they show up, or when should I open the dispute if they don't?

Thanks,
Janeen

Re: How long do I have to wait to open dispute w PP?

I just had something similar and decided it wasn't that length of the weight but the fact that I was getting no communication what so ever. I filed a pp dispute after 9 days and after mulitple communication attemps includeing the dispute with no response from seller escilated it 4 days later.

I would try a couple more times today to get a hold of someone and if you don't I would open the dispute.

Yeah, I just saw your post. .

I hope your situation is resolved soon. I hope my fluff arrives.

I'm going through something similar. Purchased 10/9, but it was a long weekend. I posted yesterday asking if they had shipped. I got a curt reply, and the typical "sick" excuse. I hate that excuse. Received a notice today that a label had been printed but the tracking doesn't work yet.

I paid with a credit card and not Paypal, so I feel very confident that I will either get my order or my money back. I figure I will contact my cc company in a week if the tracking still isn't working.

I would probably give it until Monday. If no communication at all after that, you have nothing to lose by filing. You don't want your money tied up that long. You have 45 days to open the claim, but I would never give a retailer that long with no communication.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks!
