Re: NB Sandy's vs GMD Workhouse and best covers

LRL, did the yellow fit okay? The GMD website said yellow was 9-15 lb.

Re: NB Sandy's vs GMD Workhouse and best covers

We've tried both the Workhorse and the Sandy's fitted size XS. I vastly prefer the Workhorse, for several reasons. The newborns are only $5.50 (you can get two for the price of one Sandy) and the unbleached cotton is soft and is pretty good at hiding stains. Plus, they work under nearly every newborn cover we own. The Sandy's are cute and squishy but they run big. They don't work with a lot of the covers I had bought. And they are not quite as absorbent as the Workhorse. Here is a picture of the XS Sandy's fitted on my 8 pound newborn. I know some mamas who have year old babies still wearing the smalls!

And the Workhorse

I'm actually curious about which of the two diapers has a better resale value?

I used nb workhorses and was happy with them. Much better at containing EBF poop than a trifolded prefold! I never used nb Sandy's but I did use the larger sizes in both Sandy's and WH.

After the nb stage, I would choose Sandy's hands down over WH. Yes, WH is cheaper, but they have 4 sizes to buy, while Sandy's only has 2. I have found them to be more absorbent than WH, definitely more room to accommodate boosters (I had to add boosters outside the WH in the cover), and the fit was just much better on my LO (WH was too narrow in the crotch).
