When was/is your dating u/s?

Mine were between 8-9 weeks.

Mine was at 8ish wks, can't remember what day. DS's he was 9 wks 6 days at the dating US.

BTW, i knew what day I ovulated for this second LO but they did one anyway which I was happy about! With DS I wasn't really tracking at the time so I wasn't sure.

Mine was about 8 weeks, but they moved up my EDD by a week, so technically I was 9 weeks

I think it all depends on how close to knowing when your last period was as to how soon they will do one. I just had my dating u/s at 11w5d, but I know most of my friends have gotten them around 8 weeks. I also think it's doctor preference. I woudn't worry about when it is, the plus side to waiting is the more it grows the more it looks like a baby and less like a blob

I'm 5 weeks 3 days and my MD is scheduling one now. She wanted my HCG levels above 5000. My level was 5326 yesterday. I am hoping to go in the week after Thanksgiving so we can actually see a little more.

It was 12 weeks with DS1 (no idea when I concieved), 8ish weeks with DS2 (no idea when he was a BC oops baby), 8 weeks with DD (knew exactly when conception).

It's definitely doctor preference, because I had a calendar and everything with dates of last period started, ended, how many cycle days for each cycle (they were always within a day of eachother, I was VERY regular), what date I ovulated, and date of positive pregnancy test. I knew exactly how far along I was.

I've had them at 6, 8, 13 and then had two with this baby since they didn't trust my dates at 6 and 8 weeks.

My old office just scheduled one anytime after 6 weeks when you set up your first appointment, my new office (last 3 pregnancies) likes them to be at 8 weeks so that if dates are a little off they can still see a heartbeat. With my 3rd I just put off calling forever, thought I was having an ultrasound done at 11 weeks and turned out I was 13 weeks instead.

Thanks all! It's good to know they vary so much. I'm with a new doc now (VBAC friendly) but he doesn't do an u/s until 22 weeks! So my worrying was for nothing. I'll probably go to the pregnancy center to get a free u/s when I'm about 7-8 weeks.
