Re: What do you put in stockings?

toothbrushes, toothpaste (though I may skip the paste this year, I think we have enough), hair clips and combs and elastics, candy. Probably some sort of lotion and I'm thinking travel sized shampoos etc to take to swimming lessons.

Last year I did CJ chapsticks and both got eaten so I swore no more chapsticks.

Stockings get topped with a small toy. DD usually gets a small plush hello kitty. DS is getting two small action figures (spiderman and batman).

Traditional home made cookies (fig, almond, etc). They'll get 3 wrapped up in cheese cloth, a small toy, and either some candy or fruit (traditionally it's suppose to be home made candy and tangerines).

Re: What do you put in stockings?

Growing up (and still now actually) my mom always put in my stocking:
Cutie clementines, tooth brush, chocolate orange, gift card, chapstick, socks

I plan to carry on the clementine and toothbrush tradition for sure. DD will be 11 months, so the rest of the stuff wouldn't make sense at this point. Will most likely do an ornament, bath toy, CJs and puffs or something like that.

My soon to be 1 year old will be getting:

Four small wooden vehicles (I found these for a dollar each at target and they are adorable)

A small bag if nesquik chocolate milk mix since he will be allowed to have milk

A board book of nursery rhymes

A pair of mittens

I would do a toothbrush but the little guy doesn't have a single tooth yet.

I try to steer clear of candy, not that chocolate milk is any better really. Lol!

we usally do one of those huge bubble things in one. a bag of candy in another.(w/ the air in it) coloring book/notebook/reading book in another. mostly big stuff we can stuff in there that takes up alot of space. we do some small things like cars, crayons, chalk, playdoh, markers, ext...just to make it look like more.

We usually fill the majority of the stocking with an orange, an apple, nuts, and candies like jelly beans or Hershey kisses. Then peeking out of the very top is special candy--maybe an m&m figure or those lifesavers "books" and then usually one small unwrapped present. The presents are things like bubbles or crayons or a hot wheels car.

Re: What do you put in stockings?

According to family tradition everyone gets an orange and apple (or 2 of each). This year each kiddo gets a stuffed toy. And we shamelessly fill our stockings with junk besides those things..... maybe stickers, markers/pens, etc, and lots of candy. Throughout the year we are pretty strict on candy and sugar but stockings get lots of chocolate, and we pretty much let the kids eat it all on christmas if they want
