is this correct positioning for a ring sling (w/ pics)?
My friend let me borrow her Sakura Bloom and I'm cleless on threading and wearing. I *think* I got it right this morning but I do know the fabric is a little wonky when it comes to tightening, ormaybe I'm doing it wrong. Anyways, does this look correct?

It looks pretty good!
I think you could get the fabric up to that knee more, but that's a pretty small adjustment- good job mama! |

I would probably still be wearing a baby that young with the legs in the sling, froggy-styled....but I just feel more comfortable with my babies like that.

Re: is this correct positioning for a ring sling (w/ pics)?
Looks pretty good, rings not too low, well spread.
I think the only tweaks I would make would be to try and bring more fabric into the pouch, so it goes all the way to the backs of her knees. It looks like the excess fabric of the pouch is bunching near the top rail (behind her back). If you can smooth that fabric down so it is beneath her, it will give you a deeper pocket. If you reach between the two of you while lifting her weight slightly, you might be able to grab the bottom rail and pull it up between you a bit. But what really counts is, how does it feel? |

Re: is this correct positioning for a ring sling (w/ pics)?
Like others have said, it looks pretty good to me with a few minor tweaks. Your goal is to spread it from knee to knee so that baby's knees are higher than his bottom. Sometimes it helps me to even pull their knees up as you adjust the fabric to help their bottom sink into the pocket better.

Re: is this correct positioning for a ring sling (w/ pics)?
thanks everyone! Ithink I got the threading down and finally figured out how to "froggy" correctly so have been doing that instead. I'm gonna see a friend tomorrow who had one of these and she's gonna help me troubleshoot :-)
