Tea Party for 8 year old daughter

Ok all you wonderful ladies

I want to plan a pretty quick (on Dec 1) surprise tea party for my daughters 8th birthday. About 10-12 girls ranging from 6-10 years old.

Throw me any and all suggestions you have from decor, games, food, dress, etc!! Thanks so much

Make sure guests know its a tea party. Attire will help set the tone. If you don't have enough tea cups for everyone, check thrift stores. Make a variety of herbal teas. For snacks, scones and finger sandwiches are perfect. The vanilla scone recipe on the Bob's Red Mill website is fantastic. Little girls love getting dressed up and taking pictures, create a backdrop somewhere and do a little photo booth.

ETA: if its possible, clear out a room in your house for the party room. Borrow smaller tables from friends. Set 3 tables each for four guests. Something like the link below would be great for serving the snacks

Thanks for those suggestions, i was definitely going to hit the thrift shops for enough tea cups and the photo booth is an AWESOME idea! Thanks mama

I think if you made tutus for them all to wear, that would be a great favor! Maybe little crowns as well?

I've seen colored sugar cubes that I think the kids would love!

I would provide a "dress up" area with some bling to add to attire.....long gloves, beads, tiaras heals maybe......and maybe lip gloss and some glitter. Serve berry teas and fancy sandwiches with little decorated toothpicks stuck in them....maybe fruit kabobs and/or jello in fancy dishes.
