What other options are there for BC??

Originally I was going to go on the Mirena, but now I am not so sure I want to use a hormonal method. DH talks about getting a V, but I don't want him to get it yet. We feel like we're done but who knows in a few years, it just seems so permanent and I don't want to do it until I really am out of what I feel is safe childbearing age.

We have been using NFP and condoms but basically we suck at it. We have far too many oopses. I am still BF and I know that helps to prevent me from getting pregnant, but it's only a matter of time before it wears off. My cycles are always unpredictable while BF and that is how our last oops happened. I don't regret it at all, but right now I don't want another baby again.

So... what else is there??

Paraguard? It's the non hormonal iud.

Good question! I was just coming to ask a similar question. We are pretty good about condoms but we have to use a non-latex kind and it gets expensive. We want more kids but not for another year or two so we dont want to go to permanent yet.

I have been in your shoes and am now pregnant with #4. I am so glad we didn't do anything permanent! I went with mirena and loved it!! After this baby my husband will be getting the big V. I will however also get back on mirena because it made me feel so much better. I have to have the hormones or my cycles are just horrible. Good luck
