Darn it! My intuition is broken!
We went for our 20 week ultrasound yesterday and I am sad to report that my intuition is broken!
With our first two I pretty much knew what gender the baby was before we found out at the ultrasound. I just *knew.* This time, I "knew" wrong. Bummer. I liked the little streak I had going...it made me feel all...intuitive

Re: Darn it! My intuition is broken!
We're having a girl...so Boy, Girl, Girl. In my heart of hearts I think I was hoping for boy, girl, boy, girl and then be done. Oooooh well.

Me, too! I'm plenty happy to be having a girl, but sad that my mother's inuition isn't as awesome as I thought.
My dad, however, correctly picked the gender with all 5 of his grandkids (all girls)!

Re: Darn it! My intuition is broken!
Totally know what you mean!! I went in last week for our gender ultrasound just to surprise my husband, who wanted one (and I didn't). I was SO confident it was a boy, I bought boy clothes, boy cloth diapers, had a boy name picked out.... and it's a GIRL! I've had to grieve it, and that took me by surprise. I'm at a loss for baby girl names, I'm grumpy when looking at baby girl clothes (nothing is cute enough/it's all too pastel, etc.). Glad I had the US instead of waiting to have that reaction on B-day!

Re: Darn it! My intuition is broken!
If it makes you feel any better I thought I was having a girl every time and EVERY time it was a boy...all the old wives tales and the "mothers instincts" failed me
![]() Congrats on the girl...I would be ecstatic

Re: Darn it! My intuition is broken!
This happened to me as well, just a couple of days ago in fact. Except we will now have: girl, girl, boy, girl, girl. *eeek*

Re: Darn it! My intuition is broken!
With my first my initial thought was girl-we left if for a surpise and the baby was a girl.
Second child I thought it was a girl at first but then switched to boy due to syptoms differences-we left if for a surprise and baby was a boy. Third baby I thought right from the start it was a girl. The symptoms were just like with DD leading me again to think girl. At the 20 week I thought the U/S looked like DD and again still strong girl feelings. We did find out with this one and baby was a girl. So I did not to bad-DS just had me for a bit but than again DS always has me on my toes!!!
