Re: THANKSGIVING! KAL ~ Nov 18-24

Well. all the linens are done and the kids beds are made back up. I still have to make mine. The toilets and shower is clean. Two loads are going in the wash. I have Thanksgiving outfits picked out for the kids and warm jammies.

But now my caffiene has worn off, I have a headache and I want to nap and knit and watch Downton. I should go to the store after I get the kids and pick up a few things to eat...but haven't decided what to bring for the campfire meal yet. Possibly burgers. I want to make a big pot of oatmeal for breakfast. I wonder if I should do the real or quick cook? Hmm.

Yikes. Good luck. You are the last hope.

I assume you will spend the day making soup?

You could always preassemble skillets and wrap them in tinfoil so all you have to do when you camp is throw them on the fire.

It is possible either way. Especially since I haven't had hardly any bouts of sickness in the last 6 months. I suppose it is my turn.

yes but what to put in them? I am picky as are my kids. I don't like stews. Soups are good. I think I need to wait until l am hungry to decide.

Nobody is eating any more than necessary cause its just coming right out. We are letting the kids have "soda for sick people" aka ginger ale and that's about it.

Chicken pieces with marinade sorta stew in a fire and you could do baked potatoes in foil.
