I bet it would work fine. I don't think you'll have to stretch your stitches too much to make it work. It isn't the ideal size, but it would get you knitting while you wait for the others if you need to. I don't think I'd try to squish them all on the 16".

okay fi...I'm working with a 36" now (since it's flat and that was the first one I picked out of my stash)...so when I go in the round ML...36" too much?

and good youtube videos for MLing

No. Ml is ideal at 32 or longer but in your case you can just pull out in one section not 2.
