Re: THANKSGIVING! KAL ~ Nov 18-24

Looking for a new orifice hook now. I'm not thrilled about etsy's current offerings.

I have just a basic undecorated one which is fine as I am a super beginner spinner.

Kiwl Mum of three.

Re: THANKSGIVING! KAL ~ Nov 18-24

I had at one point a copper beaded one that I put in the bag of stuff with my Ashford when I sold it. It was nice but ultimately I found the wire to be too thin, it bent too easily. I kept the cheapie Ashford hook, but the end is too open and I couldn't keep a tie on it to tie it to the wheel, so the kids steal it a LOT. The Kromski ones bend pretty easily but seem to work ok, but of course my walnut one that goes to my sonata is ALSO missing. If I'm going to have to buy one I'd rather buy a WAHM/indie one that looks nice than a factory one.

Tunisian is awesome! I haven't figured out a way to do short rows well in it though. The fabric is super dense though, great for certain things. Longies can be beautiful, kind of linen stitchy.

Re: THANKSGIVING! KAL ~ Nov 18-24

Hahaha no I'm very very novice at tunisian, I just think it's very cool. I have so much knitting and spinning it will last me till I'm 90. It's fun to play with though and makes really nice hot pads for the kitchen, coasters, etc.
