7 month old "holds it" forever!
Is it just because he's a boy? I have a 7.5 month-old who has been going hours between pees. Every time I assume that he has to go before then, but he just won't pee. I took him twice between 7:30 and 9:30, and he wouldn't go, now he's sleeping in the carrier. So by the time he wakes up he will have gone almost 4 hours without peeing. I'm considering just putting him in underwear, because putting the diaper on and off if driving me crazy (he's VERY active). With my daughter I had to take her every hour until she was...15 months or so. So I'm wondering if I should just move to underwear and see if I can go full-time diaperless?

Re: 7 month old "holds it" forever!
Hi there Sara!
It's great that you are considering using undies for your DS. Sometimes babies will go several hours w/o peeing. I remember times when I needed to pee 2 or 3 times in a set # of hours and my babies didn't pee once. Maybe your son has the ability to hold it for a long time. Why not try the undies and see how they work out. What do you have to lose? If they don't work out well, you could do some combo of undies part-time and diaper the other part. Keep us posted and best wishes! |
