Re: Carseat dumb!
How big is your LO? Right off the top of my head I would say MyRide.

Re: Carseat dumb!
She is around 22lb...which is why I need to get a new seat ASAP! She is completely happy rear facing so she would be able to use this for quite some time?

Re: Carseat dumb!
I think a MyRide would be great for your criteria. The difference is the FFing weight limit. She would be able to use that seat until booster depending on her height.

Re: Carseat dumb!
I know you said $125, but right now Target.com has a cyber monday sale for a Marathon classic for $144. I really like that seat and since your daughter doesn't seem overly huge it might be a good fit for her.

Re: Carseat dumb!
There were some issues with the Safety Surround when it first came out. There was some limitation on using the headrest thing or something and it made it VERY short for rear-facing. I'm thinking that got resolved, though (anybody remember??).
We had, and loved a MyRide 65. It's a comfy seat with a great natural recline. That can be good or bad for forward facing, depending on your (and your child's) preference for recline. My favorite convertible is the True Fit (any model). If you can find a deal on one, it would be great. It's down side is that it "only" rear-faces to 35lbs, but for your DD, that may be middle school . My 30lb almost 3 year old is still rear-facing in one, and my 5 year old, 43lb DS uses one FF on occasion. I have both a regular TF and a True Fit Premier.
