Do we not have any twins?

I thought I read somewhere here that there is usually at least one momma in each DD group that ends up with twins. Have I missed someone?

Re: Do we not have any twins?

I don't think we have any now in our group.
Buena (I think? shoot, hope I've got the right mama) did have twins, but lost one early on.
I don't think we've got any other twin mamas, though. Which is strange. Normally there's at least one, if not a few, twin mamas in any given DDC.

In my Aug 2012 ddc we had three twin mamas- all clomid/fertility babies. Unfortunately all the babies were lost. Actually we had quite a few losses in that group (including myself- I was the last one) -between 15 and 20 mamas.

Oh wow, that is terribly sad!

Is our group about normal sized or on the small side? It doesn't seem like there are too many participating, perhaps we aren't too interesting? LOL

I dont know why I brought that up.

I, too, have noticed our month is a bit small or quiet. I think we are interesting! Its kind of nice. I feel like I recognize and remember more about our mamas than in my previous ddcs.

Re: Do we not have any twins?

Twin pregnancies have a much higher loss rate. We may have had some twin mamas who lost a baby and so just didn't put it out there. We lost DD1's identical twin at 31 weeks. It's such a strange, painful situation, sometimes I wish no one knew so I didn't have to talk about.

I had a twin pregnancy, but one twin quit developing. My dr didn't tell me about when it quit developing and I was too shocked to ask.

I also have noticed no twins and how few first-time moms there are. It seems like most of us are on our third or more, which might be why we are so quiet. We all have our hands full.

I think it's about normal, maybe small-normal?
Usually there are a bunch of mamas join and chat, then life comes along and they get busy elsewhere but a small group will stick around, check in, and chat often. A lot of the early joiners will often pop in when babies are near due or born to update, at least I've found that with other DDCs I've been in.

I think I was thinking of you when I posted previously.
