If I had ammonia in my diapers, I'd try a stronger/mainstream detergent and some bleach. I gave up on all "recommended" products after about a year. Never had stink again. Good luck.

No luck with funk rock. I agree on trying a different detergent and/or bleach. =)

I've been using the funk rock ammonia bouncer and have been happy with the results. It took away the ammonia smell. It does have a weird smell of its own, but better than ammonia for sure. I've also had good luck with RLR or a little bleach.

Re: Funk rock Ammonia Bouncer BG Odor

The RNR stuff did not work for me, and I still have amonia problems especially with the overnight diapers. But I switched to a mainstream detergent (for me it really didn`t matter as long as it was not a cheapo brand, I use what is on sale at the time, tide, sunlight, gain etc.) Bleach...that is the only thing that worked and with a couple extra rinses I felt so much better about my diapers. I also felt soo much better not giving my daughter amonia burns.

Funk Rock has worked for me! I follow the instructions on the package and then keep adding it to each load. BG odor spray is more for in the pail odor control. Also, you may need to adjust your routine a bit. Have you tried running a warm cycle or rinse prior to your wash with detergent? Also you can try rinsing at least your nighttime diapers before they go in the pail/bag. Bleach isnt okay for every diaper so be sure to check warranties, you certainly dont want to ruin your diapers just to get them stink free If you are using prefolds or the like, its certainly okay. Extra hot washes after your regular wash can help get the problem cleared out as well. To be able to better help you, what diapers are you having problems with, what detergent are you currently using and what is your wash routine?
