Disana cover sizing question!

My ds is just about outgrowing his medium Woollybottoms and I'm thinking of trying a Disana cover. I can't tell what size to get! Should I go with medium? He's 5.5 mo and almost 19 lbs, so kind of in between medium and large in some diapers.

Re: Disana cover sizing question!

My son still fits his medium Wollybottoms with room to spare. I also have a Disana cover for him that says 86/92 (12-24 mois) which is too big for him now (well, he still wears it but it comes all the way up his chest....I don't care it's only at night for him, anyway). It doesn't say size large, but I think the 12-24 month mark is about right.

The Disana is way stretchier than Woolybottoms, as Wollybottoms are made from recycled wools, and Disanas are double knitted. You could probably go with the size down even, and still get away with it. I wanted room to grow as I only use at night, and wool is so pricey.

Forgot to say, my son is 22 lbs and needs diapers with at least a 20 inch rise and the Disana works still but is ridiculously big (like I wouldn't have him wear it where people can see him because it's so far up his chest). I just figured I wouldn't be putting anything over it but a sleep sac anyhow, and this way I only need the one size.) He wears it over a Kawaii HD2 pocket diaper fully unsnapped on highest rise. The Wollybottoms are just barely squeezing over the pocket diaper at this point.

Re: Disana cover sizing question!

I would say the 86/92 size (if using as an overnight cover over a thick overnight diaper)

Re: Disana cover sizing question!

lol to be jumping on your thread.

I'd say large. Its super big now, which helps with the heavy wetting at night and giant prefolds. Nice and cozy for winter (after you cover the legs). My DS has been wearing the same one for almost a year and now that he's running around (and his weight has drastically slowed-- now he's tall and thinner-- has always been a tall boy but no longer a wide baby) its a perfect fit. And it has felted itself from very heavy use. (too big for your DS now, but I put disana leggings in large on him over the soaker)

Thanks for all the replies I do want to use it for nights but I was hoping under pjs! Last night he was in his Woollybottoms cover and it barely fit over aargh Sandy's with a flip organic in it. I hope there are some BF deals for this

GMD has a great sizing guide on their site! That might help you.

Re: Disana cover sizing question!

sorry. I can't help with the pjs. I just use wool and skip pjs altogether.

Sometimes we skip pjs and just do a t shirt with wool, but I think his feet get cold in the winter!
