Red face OOOOWWWWWWWWEEEEEEE........

I AM SO STUPID...

Ok, so I have this favorite pair of jeans. I have had them for a while and can't remember where I got them. But they have fit through many sizes. Anyway, they are so wore out that there is a tear and hole near one of the back pockets. Well, I didn't have a needle and thread the other day but I wanted to wear them..So, I pinned the hole closed with a big safety pin. Was working fine. Till about 10 minutes ago....

I sat down in the chair and got an EXTREMELY sharp pain...The pin had popped open some how and I sat on it. It hurts so bad, but I can't help but laugh through the tears at my stupidity. And now I know to NEVER use a safety pin in that area again. And I will be going to buy a needle and thread.

LOL...I had a button fall off of my jeans. It wasn't stressed or strained...they were actually a little too big on me at the time, but it just popped off while walking. I was super embarrassed, but I've been pinning them shut ever since. I can't tell you how many times I've been stabbed in the gut, but it's not like I can sew them shut! And I don't think a regular button would work.

If you found one big enough, a regular button would totally work. I've done it before to fix pants. You may need to leave it sewn on a little looser than you are used to so it can fasten, but it will work.

Yes, I feel like I got a shot in my butt. DH is going to laugh so hard at me when I tell him. It is just like me to do something like this.

Someone put a tack in my chair (pointy side up) in.... high school (I think? Maybe college) and it hurt a LOT more than I would have thought it would. My butt is so jiggly, I just don't think of it as having feelings. But it does.

Your butt has feelings people!

Me too. Yikes I've done things like this before too. It also really hurts when you step on an ear ring and it pierces your foot.

You can get a replacement button (metal kind on a stud) at Joann's. Like this:
