Bridal shower gift

What should I make for a gift for my future sister in law? I usually etch a Pyrex dish with the last name, but I'm not sure if that's "enough". Maybe I could sew a carrier to go with it. Or I was thinking of embroidering either their names or mr. and mrs. on pillowcases. What do you think or what are some ideas? I don't know much about her and have never been to their house so I'm really coming up with nothing.

With the bold my first thought is you don't know her well enough to presume she will change her name and I would not do last name or Mr & Mrs stuff.

First names on pillowcases would be cute.

A cute quilted tote bag would be nice, you can never have too many.

Ya, I was planning on doing both first names if I do the dish

I'll look into the quilted tote. Thanks!

Re: Bridal shower gift

Are they taking a honeymoon? If they are doing the beach/island resort thing, you could do a cute personalized tote and add cheap sunglasses, lotion, maybe a cover up (although that IS more personal).
My gf's and I have all done basket-type things like this for each other and they are really cute and fun for everyone to look at, at the shower. Although they usually involve unmentionables as well

I love the Pyrex idea with first names. Practical and cute!

Yes, but they don't know where yet. But that's a great idea!

I'm going with the Pyrex. Should I do both names or just her name?

Re: Bridal shower gift

I got a really nice binder for recipe cards, with some family recipes already filled in, as a bridal shower gift and loved it. Great DIY-able idea. You could also customize a bunch of recipes -- like grilling, entertaining, drinks, etc.

Here are pictures of the gift. I think it turn out well! I painted the handles on the spatula set and the Pyrex comes with a nice lid. Hope she likes it!
