Thats great that she was so kind about the information you passed along! Hopefully she takes your advice. Sad if she was genuinely clueless about the guidelines, but not surprising. We had a student dr at DDs 9 mo wbv, who said she was big enough to be switched to FF. Face palm. You'd think she'd be up to date on the latest info, since she's still in school!

I'm glad she was receptive to your information. I will say though that a 30 lb 6 month old doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy or obese. My middle dd was 28 lbs at 6 months old. She was super tall and just solid. Now at over 4 years old she is only 36 lbs very slim and pretty tall. Of course she was also exclusively breastfed and was fed properly but the weight alone doesn't seem that awful.
