Finally just did my first pump and not much of anything but I'm not discouraged! I took fenugreek and brewers yeast, ate some oatmeal and now drinking mothers milk tea. I am determined!

Just know that you should not take fenugreek if you do get pregnant. GL mama!

Thank you for this info! What about brewers yeast? Im not a fan of the fenugreek so far. It's making me sweat like crazy, not to mention the crazy maple syrup smell

I think brewers yeast is fine while pregnant. Keep up the good work!

Re: Another relactating question

I'm considering trying this as well. My LO didn't actually breastfeed for long but I pumped for her first 2 1/2 months in the NICU. She probably breastfed, with supplemental formula, for 2 weeks after we came home. She is now 7 months old, 4 1/2 months adjusted age.

Do you think I would have success relactating? Its been about a month since I've done any pumping at all. I still have a very small amount of milk which I can hand express, but like I said, it is a VERY small amount.

Crunchymom, do you still have the sns? How does it work?

That smell means you're taking it right!!! Awesome job getting her to latch! That's how it begins :-)

You can def. be successful! I do stil have the SNS. Basically, its a cotainer you wear around your neck. 2 thin tubes come fromit and are taped to each breast. That way when baby nurses they'll get the supplement from the container while stimulating the breast to make milk. It comes with 3 tubings- slow, average, and fast. Google Medela SNS to see apic and get more info. It's a hassle,I won't lie but it can make a big big difference. You can put pumped breastmilk or formula in it.

If a baby is used to the nipples on a bottle, will it be difficult to get her to adjust to this? Shes really picky about her bottle nipples even. She now refuses the nipples they gave us from the NICU, and NUK nipples, and will only use the Avent ones!
