I have been nesting like crazy, too. I figure it is half hormones, half new house excitement. Hubby has never gotten me to spend money, but the house+baby have created the perfect storm. I want everything to be perfect before the baby gets here. And I still have half a garage to unpack and a storage unit full of stuff that I will mostly get rid of.

Re: Nesting BUG!!

I've got the bug too I'm going crazy right now. I prepped all our diapers this weekend, rearranged the kids room, and the living room. Everything is taking so long to do though. I'm so big that it's uncomfortable to do much of anything but I'm still trying to get it done while I feel like doing it !

Yes!!! My mind is going and I'm super-motivated, but this giant tummy and constant BH slow me down. It is driving me crazy. My last pregnancies didn't slow me down this much.

My last didn't either ! I feel like I'm already less mobile at 31 weeks than I was when I delivered our daughter.

So sorry! I had the flu when pregnant and was pretty sure I was at death's door. So miserable. Feel better!

Does delegating to DH count as nesting? I have had that poor man running like crazy! We've gotten a ton of organizing done, though....nothing exactly ready for baby, but the house is in great shape! I need to start baby stuff ASAP. 10 weeks left and I don't have diapers or a car seat!

I got all the 0-3 month stuff washed finally! Gonna finish blankets and dipes today and hopefully start on things like playmats etc. Got the bed put together, now just gotta find bedding or make some. The set we loved is $150 and I'm too cheap right now to spend that. I still have lots of shopping to do so still plenty more laundry and cleaning when the house remodel is 100% finished.

Re: Nesting BUG!!

The last few days I have made / done
- two freezer meals
- moved furniture in our bedroom to make room for the birth tub
- organized the twins newbie stuff for this baby
- put away Christmas
- made my birthplan
- knocked a few things of my buy list from what we got as Christmas gifts!

Next on my list for this week...
- organize everything for the shower and trip to LA
- bring some stuff the twins out grew to the second hand shop to trade for some newbie items
- embroider Rosalie's baby shirt
- two more freezer meals

Re: Nesting BUG!!

HELP! I have MORE than the nesting bug! I have nesting FEVER! After I repainted DS's nursery, I went to assemble his new big boy bed. That somehow got me thinking about all of the chemicals in kid's furniture. I sold all of his furniture and splurged on a "green" bedroom set. YIKES! Especially b/c I SHOULD be using that money to buy this LO a dresser as well as other things she still needs....not giving DS a new bedroom set lol! Somebody stop me!
