I don't know the gender but my HB have all been around 135 - 145 range on the Doppler. Yesterday, I had a NST. I had to wait for the doc for an hour and they left me on the monitor. I saw that baby had a much wider range - up to 160's.

Re: Fast heart rate always a girl?

I would think twice about going back to a health care provider who shares old wives tales as being anything other than a complete joke ever again.

Not true for me. DS was generally much faster than DD.

My ob said "girl range!" followed with, "but it's not true." For my first three...boys. This baby's heart rate is also "girl range"and finally, she's actually a girl!

sorry, i'm really bad at autocorrect and I don't like proof reading!

Re: Fast heart rate always a girl?

My two girls were high 170's to low 180's. My son was high 160's to low 170's. This baby started at 180 and is now 170, so still waiting to find out.

Yeah, I would be highly other end by a MW that said that honestly because it simply isn't true and can only get hopes up. Both of my boys had much higher heart rates...160-180's. I am pregnant with DD and her heart rate is usually 130-150..

So glad to hear of someone else with a baby with a heart rate in the 180's. I'm 11 weeks and at the 8 week checkup the baby's heart rate was 187 and measured 4 days small. Little worried but helps to know there's a range of normal on these things! Glad you shared
