Re: Basically it's Tuesday

Also I have two book suggestion requests please. Anything for K-1st grade level with a heroine of color for the Angel kid. Then on the 17th I am the guest reader for Ginger's class, and want to read something fun, winter or holiday themed, but not solely Christmas.

The Mitten by Jan Brett is one of my favorite winter stories. It lends itself to an easy craft. Making the mitten from paper coloring the animals stuffing them inside. I usually do that and then one of my excellent versions of Night Before Christmas

Good books
Grandma's gift, Eric Velasquez.
A chair for my mother, Vera B. Williams.
My steps. Sally Derby

Aren't there several American Girl books with non white heroines? Although that may be too high of a reading level. Or maybe a Todd Parr book? The Thankful Book is nice. I am not much help. For 2nd graders is The Mitten too babyish?
So tired, I need a nap

I will have to check out The Mitten. Thanks.

Yeah, one of the American girls is black, one native american. I didn't know if that is too old a series for a 6YO. I knoew Ginger loved it...but she's high level reading.

As I am looking up these titles, they all look so familiar. I'm pretty sure I have read all of them.

I really do think I'm doing better on my meds now. By this time of night I'd usually be unable to form a solid thought...tonight I feel fine.

Cheryl, do you know what kind "of colour" you're looking for? Or just anything?

Did chores, put Bunny in her jammies and have rice in the cooker. About to make the honey garlic meatballs Had fun playing in the pasture with the horses too. I got a lot done around the house too even if it doesn't quite look like it yet.
