how do i do a buttonhole?

Do I need a special attachment? I have a brother that is around 5-6 years old I think.

I know on my kenmore I just have to read book. I don't think u need one. I don't know with all the different machines though. Hopefully someone can give u more difinitive answer.

You do a tight zig zag. (Unless your machine has a special thin to do it).

There are also tutorials on how to do it without the button hole foot. I've never used the foot!

Yes do the foot! It was so easy! I did like 10 button holes in five minutes!
