Smile Newbie Purchase Question

Hello!
I hope I'm posting in the right place. I feel like I've read all the relevant stickies and searched the boards for the answers!

I signed up for the boards a while ago, but just now starting to use them. I don't have 6 posts yet, so not sure how to go about making first purchase, since in order to PM someone I need 6 posts?

And I don't want to clutter up boards with 6 posts just so I can PM!

What is the best course of action? Reply on the seller's post and ask them to PM me?

Also, I know ebay feedback can be problematic, but as a newbie I obviously don't have feedback. What about etsy feedback? Is that appropriate to share for this purpose?

Thanks in advance!
Best,
Christina

Re: Newbie Purchase Question

i would just post twice more to get to you 6 posts, if you go check out the craft section lots of people post pictures of the adorable stuff they make, just tell them how cute it is, everyone loves compliments

you are also welcome to ask a seller to PM you, but often sellers dont check their threads frequently so you may get passed over for someone who PMd the seller

i think most people dont have a problem selling to people with no feedback but i dont see any reason why it wouldnt be ok to share a link to your feedback elsewhere if you want to

Aw, ok. That's a great idea! Uh oh, I might start a new obsession with the craft section. Thanks so much for the advice!

Clutter up the board with 6 posts? Lol!! Stick around. I'm actually purposefully cluttering to reach a post count celebration! Haha

Re: Newbie Purchase Question

I didn't realize that answering threads counted as a post!! I get it now! I thought I had to start 6 original conversations or threads to count as posts.

Thanks again!
