Re: Basically it's Wednesday

I'll talk to my FIL. He's good with his rabbits. He might know what to do.

Re: Basically it's Wednesday

It seems I mixed up my days. I've been taking Tuesday's meds all day. I noticed before the bed time meds thankfully. I'd have messed it up properly.

Re: Basically it's Wednesday

Well my getting clothes ready for tomorrow consisted of getting the girls thermo Jeans out of the drier...to find them damp...and putting them on the radiator to hopefully dry before they need to get dressed in the morning.

Re: Basically it's Wednesday

I hate when that happens Janine. I've done two loads of laundry so far and no puddles, but the auto-sensor in the dryer does not know what dry really is.

IDK that I could tell if Esther's teeth are overgrown. We try to give her a carrot, celery, etc every day so she's not just eating nuts and seeds (she won't touch dairy) but she is very private about eating.

Jess, I thought it was six hours because DH said so, but I looked on the script says every 4-6, and it does not say up to 4 doses in 24 hours or anything like that. I'll follow up with the pedi. It doesn't matter on school days anyway because he's at school 6 hours, and he will be at school seven or eight hours once in kindy. Right now the issue is it starts wearing off at naptime, and then he lays flat and makes it worse, then by the end of the day he's a mess. It's only Tue/Thu, so not a huge deal. So I guess eventually pedi and I will have to have a discussion about how he can get through a whole day at school every day next year.

I actually picked her up and checked them. It just looked odd the way her mouth was, it's only just happened. I looked closer...she hated it but I wrapped her up in a flat diaper and with the blunt end of a set of tweezers I encouraged her to open her mouth. That's when I saw how bad they are.

Re: Basically it's Wednesday

MH is too cute!

Kari, maybe it's just me but I don't think most public schools in the US have nurses any more. They didn't in TX and they certainly don't in MI. I think partially bc of funding and partially for liability? I'm not sure how the kids that need meds during the day get them. It's probably in the handbook, I should look it up. Anyway, he has been on Singulair for about two years, but of course insurance won't cover it. Helps that there is a generic now.

Re: Basically it's Wednesday

I didn't see the last sentence, Kari, my bad. We haven't been to any specialists. The problem is I can't get him to a doc when it's bad. He is only really bad late at night, and if I drive to an ER simply being upright in the car seat improves him significantly. If I take him to a doc after a really hard night, he still looks and acts normal and has unreal oxygen levels, like 95 or something. To the school or sunday school teacher or whatever, he just sounds really sick when he coughs a lot. Like Janine says I can tell when it's viral/bacterial and when it's just the asthma.
