Minivan question

We've got a 2007 Dodge minivan with about 125k miles on it. So far no problems other than routine maintenance.

But I did just get a 2009 with all the upgrades and I am in love!!!!! Not sure you can go wrong with an odyssey.

We now own our 4th Honda Odyssey. We buy new and despite putting 30k+ miles per year, we've never had an issue. We also have been involved in two major accidents where our vans were totaled, but no one in our car was hurt (one was caused by a texter and the other by someone driving while overly medicated).

I just can't recommend Honda highly enough.

We have a toyota sienna and have been very, very pleased with it.

I have a 1999 dodge grand caravan and I love it. The transmission is kinda shifty but it is getting old. I wanted to add that my mechanic buys the dodge caravans for his trips back and forth to Florida. When ours does die, we will get another used one from him.

I know Odysseys and Siennas are very popular and really reliable cars, but I wouldn't overlook the Dodge, especially if $ is a factor. We bought our Dodge Grand Caravan new in 2004 (it's an 05 model) and we mainly chose it because dh's employer at the time got Employee Pricing + 2% on Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. I did love the Odyssey but I got a fully loaded Dodge for $24K and we paid cash. We couldn't afford to do that with the Odyssey or Sienna. 8+ years later, I still have the minivan and it's in great shape. We have taken good care of it and don't skip on maintenance. I have about 140K miles on it and I expect it to last a minimum of 2 more years. My goal when buying it was to drive it for 10 years.

wow, our van is at about 185000 miles and we are shopping for a new one (it is a Pontiac Montana...they don't make them anymore) It has served us well for 7 years. Really hoping to luck out and find an older honda or toyota with low mileage for a decent price.

Love dodge,my caravan is an 02 and runs like a dream.We also have a 99 dodge ram with over 200,000 miles that could probably make it another 100,000 easily.We're very good about taking care of our vehicles though.

I'd stick with Honda or Toyota. I had a Chevy minivan that was unreliable and had really bad safety ratings. We were upside down on it and it was getting old and I started really wanting something safer, so we traded it in, and within weeks got in a nasty crash and the new (super safe) car was totaled. I shudder to think what would have happened in the van.

I just drove a 2012 Grand Caravan (highest trim level, can't quite remember the letters) for a week as a rental and it was nice having all the room but it had almost no power, struggled up hills, and the road noise was super loud. It drove me crazy. I was very glad to get my little SUV back.
