I have a few minutes break...

Brea, I grew up halfway between Pasadena and League City, went to U of H, lived off of 249 halfway between Jersey Village and Katy as an adult, dh grew up in Alief and since extended family is in dallas/tyler used to drive through humble/kingwood all the time too. Now I seem to drive to Bloomfield, Birmingham,Farmington hills, royal oak, auburn hills, rochester, utica all.the.time. And I have been out your way before. One time I zoned out driving home from the airport and suddenly I was out near you. Clearly did not have enough of a vacation.

LMBO! That is too funny! We lived in Clear Lake (Webster/Houston) area, but started out in League City/Kemah! LOL

Now I drive to Utica/Rochester Hills/Farmington/Clinton Township/Sterling Heights ALL.THE.TIME. Hubs sold me on this area because everything was "so close" and you "have to drive an hour to anywhere in Houston". Um...HE LIED! I drive more now than I ever did in TX. The area is beautiful, it's just a lot of running to get DS to the activities he's used to, and it's been murder trying to find other kids his age. Oh well, it's only been a month, right? He's just had the same playgroup since he was born, so not having other kids around has been interesting to say the least

Heiner and Shannon have gone on a Nacht wanderung (walk in the dark) with Hort.

I'm trying to keep the other three in check....and having to clean up a lot of stuff. Fynn tipped up Daisy's box so there is wood chips and water to clean up. The lid was still on but some got out. I was waiting for later but I guess I'll have to do it now.

Because Derry didn't eat her lunch she had that for her dinner.
Heiner and Shannon are eating at hort.
Fynn and Cami asked for Nutella sandwiches for their dinner.

No idea what I'm having now.

Good work Janine. Don't you dare look inn the girls' room, enjoy the moment.

Janine, all ya need to know about the Texas talk is that Houston is the 4th largest city in the us, and dallas and austin are always in the top ten, so there is factual basis for the "everything is bigger in Texas" fable. So Brea has gone from one of the largest cities and counties in the US, where the economy has had much less impact and is overcrowded anyway becuase Texas had to absorb half of Lousiana after the hurricanes, to a much lesser populated state with a collection of small towns outside a dying city. So she is used to having anything and everything 15min or less away and much of it open 24 hours to an area where lots of towns have subdivisions that are 20-40% vacant (people lost their homes to a bank or can't sell it) where everything is much farther away and closes at 8pm. And gone fro 70 degrees in Nov to 30. I know, it doesn't sound like much when you are used to that but it is a big adjustment for a Texan.

Brea, I went to Clear Creek High School. So I know your stomping grounds. And if you are looking for Texas Utica is probably the most like it.

Re: Basically it's Thursday

Sorted through the diapers in the baskets that were in the girls room (I didn't go in)
Folded and put together the kindergarten pad folded PFs.
Folded the Disana cloth diapers I use for him in the basket.
Vacuumed though and tidied up in the bathroom.

All the while while fighting with the kids about leaving the things alone!

Well I continued with the cleaning and tidied up my desk...again.

I wanted to order a pizza but sadly there is nowhere to order from. I checked the website and our local pizza place isn't on it anymore

So that's it. No more food for delivery.
