I know not to buy used carseats but what about buying a used cover that is made for (by the manufacturer) the specific carseat? does anyone know if you can buy new covers for the Graco Snugride 30?

I would think it should be fine. The problem with the carseat itself is that the plastic wears out becoming less safe. I don't think that there are any safety issues attached to the cover.

If it's made specifically for that carseat it's ok, as far as I know. You can buy new parts for the model from their website.

Check ebay I sold one there after my dog chewed the handle off the carseat so I had to toss it just make sure it is one from the manufacturer not homemade.
