That's when I splurge on the really cute, embroidered dipe or really nice wool that I wouldn't otherwise justify.

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
DD2 (20 months) is getting the Little People Castle, the Melissa and Doug Mailbox (her favorite thing in our church nursery), a towel with an animal face hood, and a double doll stroller/changing table set from Costco that DD1 picked out. I'm sure there will be more, but that's what I got for her so far. We have every toy known to mankind since she is the 3rd kid, so it was hard.

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
I honestly am not going to get my one year old much for Christmas- she has so many toys from her older brother and sister. I'm getting her some board books, a Minnie Mouse blanket embroidered with her name, one of those Apptivity Monkey iPod cases and her own stuffed Jessie from Toy Story doll (her older sister will not share hers). For her stocking I'm going to fill it with toddler snacks and any other little baby things that she needs.
She is honestly not even going to be in to opening her presents (she just turned one and she could have cared less about opening her birthday presents) so I'm not worrying too much about having a lot for her.

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
Our twins are 19 months so a little older but we decided to get them "loveys" (a security toy that they never need to share!). We ordered cute kitty dolls from a company called BlaBla. I like them because they are handmade and machine washable!

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
We don't have a big emphasis on gifts, but we'll do a few little things. We got a latch board, a harmonica, some art supplies, and a couple of little stocking stuffers. Grandma is getting her a nice Ryan's Room wooden dollhouse. And my sister is getting her a really neat wooden car thing.

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
Both of my children responded to music from very young ages. We had a hand me down crank music box that plays the theme from Swan Lake. This year I'm getting a few more:

Re: Xmas present for a 1yo girl...
We're doing one of those 3 in 1 trikes. We don't need any toys, but her sister's tricycle is a bigger one so the 3 in 1 makes sense for YDD for the upcoming year so that she can 'ride' with the big kids.
