Cramping, but no period
Hi mamas,
Here is my story... DS2 who is still BFing is almost 15 months old and we night weaned about 5 weeks ago. My cycles have not returned yet, but in the last week or so I have been having pretty consistent mild period like cramps and achy feeling - the same as I would normally get the day before and the day of getting my period, but this has been going on for a week and nothing. FWIW the chances of being pregnant are pretty low I think (the first time we have *ahem* since DS2 was born was about 10 days ago {yes I know a long dry spell }, and we used protection, which seemed intact at the end ).Anyone experienced anything similar? Share your wisdom mamas. I wish I would just get the darn period, I can't take this cramping for much longer! TIA

Re: Cramping, but no period
Hey there! Yes I did get something like this but it was like 2 1/2 weeks after I got my mirena out and I totally thought I was pregnant. then i started charting temps only to find out one morning after two days of worse cramps that my temp had dropped drastically and lo and behold that evening my AF showed up. But the cramps def lasted for like two weeks I think it was Just my body revving itself up to have a period again as I hadn't had one for at least 9 mo while on the iud. Hope this helps

I actually had random cramping while BFing my DD. it was bad and I swore I'd get a period, but didnt until a month later. The first AF can take a month of gearing up. Hope things get Rollin for ya!

Yes, this happened to me for 1-2 months before AF returned after ds. I was always convinced that AF was about to start and once I also had a tiny bit of spotting associated with the cramping. Once AF showed the random cramping stopped.

Re: Cramping, but no period
Thanks mamas, it stopped maybe a day or so after I made the post above. Still no AF though.

Re: Cramping, but no period
Thanks mamas, funny - I got a hpt and ripped it open to test, went to the bathroom and low and behold AF was back (did the hpt anyway, since it was open, and it was negative *phew*
)
