Yea it's ok to try to lose slowly. It's not recommended to lose too fast because it dumps toxins in your milk. At least that's what I've read. Go to the la Leche league website and you can get some good advice! Good luck mama!

Re: Weight
I have been losing weight and exclusively breastfeeding. I have not had any issues. I was losing fast at first and now slower. My baby is healthy and happy.

Yep! Just make sure you're eating healthy and getting the nutrients you need - better for you and baby!

Re: Weight
I think that it's most important to be eating nutrient dense foods and let your body decide how much and when to lose. This depends a lot on how your metabolism is working and how your hormonal balance is, and what weight your body prefers. Personally, I'd like to lose another 10-15 pounds, but I'm not going to change my diet or restrict calories, because I am confident that what I am doing now is healthy and I trust my body to regulate itself. I really don't want to risk being deficient in nutrients at the expense of a number on the scale.
here is an interesting article http://180degreehealth.com/2012/11/p...rmonal-changes
