I am looking at a couple different ones does anyone have the Bebe Stages potty ? what do you think of it? also looking at this one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221148094964...84.m1423.l2649 and would like any input anyone has for choosing one. my son is 15 months and takes his diaper off all the time so I thought we would give EC a try even though it is a little late.

This one looks very much like the 1st stage baby bjorn potty bowl. It's very good for training and what's really nice is that it's good for them to be able to sit on it on their own. I would recommend going straight to the baby bjorn potty seat with the high back. The nice thing about this is is that you can take the bowl out so you don't have to be washing the entire potty because sometimes it doesn't fit in the sink, etc.

Also, the high back is good because sometimes the baby likes to lean back and there's something to catch them from falling! And this potty is common enough to find it cheap on craiglist

Thank You, I have been looking but haven't been able to find a baby bjorn that doesn't cost as much as a new one.

I don't recommend the high back potty for EC - it takes them a while to develop the coordination back up and sit, whereas the Smart Potty (and the ones you are looking at) can be climbed onto in a forward motion. At 15 months, he may be able to do the high back potty, if he is already backing up and sitting down into a chair. It also has the ease of the removable potty bowl for easy cleaning, like the Baby Bjorn Smart Potty.

Otherwise, I suggest you look at the Once Upon a Potty. It is a one-piece design and is larger, with a high front, AWESOME for boys. We lucked out by finding one at a yard sale for 25 cents and used that when they were too big for the BBLP. I spent $25 on another one for our second bathroom when our second son came along. It's worth every penny, especially for boys - otherwise mine overshot the top of the BBLP unless I was right there to point them down or lean them forward (another reason I don't recommend the high back - leaning back = wet floor for boys).
