Re: Weekly Chat Dec 20- 31st

Well this week was a busy one for me. I had my first u/s, and just 1 baby in there! I thought I wanted twins, but then reality hit me, and I realized my hands are full with just 1 on the way I feel blessed.

Ive been sick for 3 weeks now with bronchitis. I finally broke down and asked for a prescription, but it's making me so nausiated and a headache with it.

My 13 year old has bronchitis as well. My 9 year old sounds like she does, too. My 7 year old has bronchitis with an ear infection, and because she's had so many this year, she now has to have tubes. My 2 year old has pneumonnia. 2 of my kids are also on antibiotics (the younger 2 for now).

I want sooooo bad for us to be healthy for Christmas!

Oh, and we still haven't "shared" our secret of pregnancy just yet. I thought it would be fun to spill the beans for Christmas, but DH said not until after 1st trimester is done. Party pooper.

Re: Weekly Chat Dec 20- 31st

Congrats on the u/s mama! We don't have our first appointment until Jan 10th. Things are going great here though! No morning sickness (which is somewhat throwing me off because I was queasy nonstop with DD)

DD is still nursing at night which is challenging but we're working through. She has been getting very upset that there isn't as much milk as she's used to. I have to say I'm surprised supply dropped so fast.

We are also keeping this baby a secret until after 12 weeks. It probably won't be too tough for us though because we live so far away from family.

Re: Weekly Chat Dec 20- 31st

I finally told my mom and my other sister. My oldest sister already knew. It's always hard to tell my middle sister. She and her DH can't have any kids. They've adopted 3, but I know she still would love to have one of her own. She always crys a lot for a few days after one of us tells her that we're preggo and again when the baby is born. It always makes me feel guilty that we're having another blessing added to our family.

Still haven't told DH's family. All of his family, except his grandmother who lives across from us, lives out of state (well technically his mom and her new hubby don't, but he drives a big truck and their always gone). I think I'm going to send out a mass e-mail to his family within the next few days and get it over with. I can't hide it for long.....the way I'm eating!!!

Re: Weekly Chat Dec 20- 31st

First u/s is scheduled for January 2nd, but I'm chickening out and thinking about pushing it back. I know if we can't see HB or HB is "low" that I will stress. Pushing it back to 7 weeks or even 8 weeks may calm my nerves a little more.

We haven't told many people yet - just my two BFFs. I've been trying to think of a cute way to tell my coworkers and my boss. We're a close knit group, and I really want to see their faces. I think they will be shocked. I think I need to tell them before my appt, but I'm not positive. Everyone else will probably know around 12 weeks. We'll see....

DH is applying to graduate school programs, so we'll be announcing that as well around the same time. I'm not sure if I want to make the announcement together or separate? An acceptance to graduate school would mean an out of state move, so adding the arrive of a 2nd grandbaby/niece/nephew may make some family members really emotional. This is really challenging for me emotionally....

We are sick here too but not nearly as bad! It is funny if I cough/sneeze/blow my nose in the wrong position I get a twinge down there like the baby is protesting.
Now that my kids are FINALLY out of school I feel like we can really enjoy getting ready for Christmas. Plus the nausea and fatigue aren't here so I am excited.

Re: Weekly Chat Dec 20- 31st

I finally got some sleep early this am and wow! I've been going going going!! tons of laundry washed dried and put away! dishes are halfway done, and finished sewing gmas present! Now I just need to get ready for this evening. Celebrating xmas with the inlaws tonight, then back home to pack finish some last minute sewing, diaper laundry and whatever else we need to do before heading out in the am. Looks like everyone is pretty busy too, from how quiet it's been on here today!

I'm impressed!
I have zero energy. I've been lying on the couch for the past two hours. Luckily, my girls are entertaining themselves pretty well right now.
