Re: Introductions!!

Hello everyone. My story is probably a lot different then most of yours, however, I will make it short and sweet.

My husband and I conceived 3 beautiful children very easily. So easily, that I thought I'd 'pay it forward' in a sense. A little over a year ago I looked into surrogacy and I've been talking with and getting to know my intended mother (the biological mother) for about a year now.

I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with her and her husband's baby. I am a gestational carrier, meaning the baby has no genetic relationship to me. We got pregnant through IVF and I am currently still on injections once a day.

Hoping this little one hangs tight! We have an ultrasound in a week to check on things.

Wishing you all healthy and successful pregnancies!!

I am super excited but also scared Lillian was born at 22 weeks and she had triploidy which means she had 69 chromosomes instead of only 36. 3 of each instead of 2. most babies with this will lead to a miscarriage but she was a fighter and we delivered her and were able to hold her , which was super sad but pretty amazing. anyway I am excited to be pregnant and just hoping that we have a healthy baby to bring home. our daughters would love to have a baby that is ours.
I do home childcare and love the kids so much but some days its hard to play with babies knowing Lillian should be here any day now. lets all get to august and I am hoping to get to know all of you ladies better. do any of you cloth diaper? I am hoping to this time around
Hope this one is a healthy baby for you!

I have CD all 3 of my children and will this one as well. I love it!

This is AWESOME!!! I have pretty easy pregnancies and would love to do this, but my DH has a major, major problem with me and the way I look when pregnant. He HATES the belly, wont even touch it. I have gotten used to his feelings and it is fine, but I know that he would never let me do a surrogacy. Way to go mama! Hope this one hangs around for them!

Re: Introductions!!

I think I'm going to be joining you. I had a real eye squinter yesterday, and today it's still light but no doubt about it, there is a line. I haven't told DH yet, probably will tonight.

We have been married since 2006, DS1 was born in 2007 and DS2 in 2009. We were NTNP. I'll be due late August, which will probably be hot and miserable, but I think it's really cool because my mom's, (passed away in 2006) birthday is August 30th. <3.

Hoping for sticky beans for everyone

A mutual friend hooked us up and we were inseparable since! We started dating in March, and were married by November, and got pregnant two months after that! LOL!

My husband and I went to school together since 5th grade, never dated til after graduation, I thought he was a dork in school too.

My DH doesn't have major issues but has expressed that he does not find pregnancy attractive. I get it...I don't really find it sexy either once I'm big (he is fine until I get big). Many of my friends' DHs were opposite though so I have wondered why my DH is like he is. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one!

Re: Introductions!!

Hi ladies! I'm Kylee, I'm 28 years old (for a few more days), a student (graduate in April, woohoo!) and a SAHM to my DS who will be 3 in March and my DD who just turned 1 in November.

#3 is due 8/17, but both of mine have been late so I'll probably go over. I'm still kind of in shock, we were trying but I didn't think this was our month at all! Last Sunday morning I was up until about 3 am finishing homework, and suddenly I got the craziest urge to go to the store and buy some HPTs, so I did... and here I am.

14 dpo.

Re: Introductions!!

Hi Ladies!

I've really enjoyed reading all about you!

Valerie - I think what you're doing is AMAZING and I have so much respect for you!

My husband and I have been married since Jan 2003 (10 years next month, yayy!) and we have two boys and two angel babies. Our boys are 9 and 3 and I've been an angel mommy since May of 2008. I've had years of infertility struggles which is why there is so much space between my boys. We wanted them closer together but I'm happy with how things have worked out so far. My first set of twins were identical and after a HORRIBLE visit to the ER, I lost them. I believe I would have them today if I hadn't gone to the f&^$#&$ ER. Buuut, we have our sweet 3 yo DS and I couldn't imagine our lives without him! I had to do fertility treatments (IUI) to get pregnant with him and this time, we had the opportunity to do IVF so we decided to go for it! Thankfully, it worked the first time! We transferred two beautiful embryos and on our first u/s last Wed, it looks like they both stuck! I go back for another u/s tomorrow to check on them again and I can't wait! I'm due Aug 12th but that might be adjusted because they're twins and they usually don't let you go full term with twins. I'm really hoping for another vaginal delivery and to avoid a c-section if at all possible! DS #2 was a natural water birth so I'd like to go as natural as possible with these babies.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

I really don't mind being pregnant. I just feel like it's the right thing to do. I'm so excited for the intended parents!!

Aw, that's too bad DH doesn't mind me being pregnant. Though towards the end he really isn't comfortable being intimate. Which I understand.

Thanks, I hope baby hangs on too!

So we are IVF buddies then

We haven't had our ultrasound yet, but we did a single embryo transfer (frozen 5 day transfer). So, unless this little one split-- there's just one baby in there My beta levels came back in the range of a singleton as well.

Are you still on injections? My ultrasound is in a week and until then I am still on estradiol and progesterone in oil. Gotta love that progesterone
